I’m happy to announce the newest addition to the Your Search Advisor team!

Jason Sexton joins as a Search Engine Marketing Analyst to assist with client campaign management, reporting and analysis, and strategic development of clients’ PPC advertising initiatives.

In short, Jason makes us more efficient and effective.

Jason is a recent graduate from Virginia Tech’s Marketing Management program and has a list of extracurriculars, scholarships, honors, and experience that stood out against a field of other highly qualified candidates.

As a Tech undergrad, he was selected by the head of the Marketing Department as a research assistant to develop surveys and and assist with a study of the impact of direct-to-consumer advertising on prescription drug use and its adverse effects. He’s also an Excel whiz and in the process of completing the Google AdWords and Google Analytics individual certification tests.

I’m glad he’s here, and looking forward to introducing him to my clients and partners.

It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally migrated back downtown. I knew it would happen some day. My new office feels like some sort of weird professional homecoming. The space is in the Watkins-Cottrell building, next to La Diff and across the street from the now defunct Southern Railway Deli.

I’ve been a little quiet on this blog lately, but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped sharing my innermost thoughts on SEO and web analytics. Okay, maybe not innermost but certainly some detailed, juicy morsels of insight.

Here are the slides from last night’s meeting. The crowd may have been small, but the vibe was enthusiastic. Most of the content was voiced over and the slides are sparsely worded. Hopefully the images and text convey enough meaning, otherwise you’ll never understand the references to the Dharma Initiative (and cake).
